What is transasia airways flight 791?

TransAsia Airways Flight 791 was a scheduled domestic passenger flight operated by TransAsia Airways that crashed into the Keelung River in Taipei, Taiwan on February 4, 2015. The flight was en route from Taipei to Kinmen when the accident occurred. The aircraft involved was an ATR 72-600 twin-engine turboprop plane, carrying 58 passengers and crew members.

The cause of the accident was determined to be pilot error, as the pilot accidentally shut down the aircraft's only working engine shortly after takeoff. This mistake led to the aircraft losing altitude rapidly, and it crashed into the river seconds later.

As a result of the accident, 43 people were killed, and 15 survived. The crash was the second deadly incident involving a TransAsia Airways flight in less than a year, which resulted in the airline's closure two years later.
